About the film

A 4¼-minute documentary. Narration and farmer interviews tell the story of Wupperthal in the Cederberg — the only place rooibos grows wild — the co-operative formed in 2009 (53 members, now 93, of whom 74 are active producers; 47% women, 53% youth), Fairtrade certification in early 2010, and the shift from seasonal work on neighbouring farms to a better income and more time at home on their own land.
